As you might know, Google added Boston to the list of cities for which it provides interactive, moving, zoomable, street-level views in Google Maps. So, you can now "drive" down the streets of Boston University (both campuses), Beacon Hill, Back Bay, South End, and many other neighborhoods.

To start your tour on the Medical Campus at the BU Shuttle stop, go to:
There is one feature that might be interesting to website managers: you can embed a fully functioning street view snapshot in your own website.
To see an example, go to an IT test page we just created at:
http://www.bu.edu/it/directions/streetview.html
This embedded image works just like any street view image.
You can:
- Zoom (click the controls that appear over the image)
- Rotate (click the rotate arrows or just drag the image)
- Drive down Cummington Street, (click the W or E arrows or the street name). You can drive around the corner and onto Comm Ave. If you live within I95, you might be able to drive all the way home.
If you'd like to embed your department's street view into its site, just follow Google's simple directions. Or, for those who have an ongoing maintenance agreement with us, just submit your request through your normal form.
